This design and build scheme incorporates both modular and off-site methods of construction, creating a mixed use, 222-unit co-living development.
Situated within a ‘live’ environment, the scheme was logistically complex, which included the demolition of an existing building and re-development of the site. The delivery programme was crucial and monitored carefully through close collaboration with all parties of the project team, including architects Hawkins Brown on the intricate design detail needed.
Extensive conditional surveys, party wall agreements and time and motion studies were key drivers, as well a regular liaison with local businesses and residents, in order to manage expectations, generate excellent community engagement and ensure health and safety measure.
The scheme achieved a Certificate of Excellence with the Considerate Contractor Scheme.
