Overview: Refurbishment of a listed building and subsequent extension, creating a mixed-use development with community space.

Appointed as Principal Contractor at this office, residential and community space project, Claritas successfully delivered the three listed Victorian Villas in 2015.

Whilst balancing demolition, site clearance and archaeology work during the pre-construction process and planning appeal phases, Claritas worked closely with the client to develop the scheme’s design and value engineered several trade packages.

These packages ensured valuable guarantees of fixed price and programme contracts, as well as an immediate start on site when feasible. Upon delivery the site reached a coveted, BREEAM Excellent Rating.

The site included the refurbishment of The Haven’s Stevenage homeless support centre, which provides training and consulting to get people back into work and accommodation.
