AMCM Group, one of the UK’s most forward-thinking construction specialists, has appointed Simon Wilkinson as Director to lead on strategic growth.

Simon’s appointment demonstrates an investment into a business which has already achieved significant success in residential markets, forging close relationships with local authorities and residential developers in the past six years. With Simon now on board, the goal is to extend this growth further to commercial, mixed-use developments and the education sector.

Simon has 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, originally qualifying as a Quantity Surveyor before transitioning to strategic business development roles. Having gained valuable experience working for one of the UK’s leading engineering consultancies, Simon moved on to join Wates in 2005, spearheading the company’s strategy to work with some of London’s leading commercial clients.

Simon’s role at Wates further expanded into the burgeoning London private residential sector, which saw project revenue grow from £0 to £150+million in under five years.

Now at AMCM Group, Simon will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for clients at the very beginning of their project lifecycle. In addition, he will also undertake the new role within the company of ‘Promise Guardian’, ensuring that all deliverables outlined at the beginning of a project are met and achieved in line with those set out and agreed with the client.
